Robert G. Briggs is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. It was during law school that Bob met partner Jim Lammers, who in turn introduced him to the firm's founder, Lyle Eckberg. Bob became a partner in the firm in 1970. Bob served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant, Junior Grade, with JAG, the Judge Advocate General, providing legal services to Navy personnel at the Naval Air Stations in Corpus Christi, Texas and the Construction Battalion Base in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Today, Bob concentrates his practice in real estate, estate planning and business law and is certified as a Real Property Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Bob has more than 30 years of experience representing landowners and developers in Washington County and surrounding communities.
Bob has been a member of the Lions Club for many years. He serves on the Board of Directors for Central Bank Stillwater and for the Margaret Rivers Foundation, an organization that focuses on funding charitable agencies through out the Saint Croix Valley. He has been a member of this board for 20 plus years. Bob grew up in St. Paul Park, moved slightly east in 1970, and has been living in Stillwater ever since. Bob and his wife have four adult children and five grandchildren.
