James F. Lammers was born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota where his family has been living since before Minnesota achieved statehood. Jim received his Juris Doctor from The University of Minnesota Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
Jim was the first lawyer hired by Lyle Eckberg, who founded the firm in 1949. Jim is currently a semi-retired partner. He has practiced law locally for over 40 years. Jim concentrates on estate planning, wills, probate, municipal law, eminent domain, corporate and business law, real estate and civil litigation and in serving the personal and business needs of his clients.
Jim has had a very active civil life. He is currently a Board Member of the First State Bank & Trust. He is the Past President of the Washington County and 19th District Bar Circuits, Past Chair of the Real Property Section of the Minnesota Bar Association and Past President of the Stillwater Lions Club and St. Croix Valley Athletic Association. Jim is also the Past Vice President of the Stillwater Country Club and the Stillwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
Jim and his wife have three adult children and three grandchildren. The Lammers family continues to make their home in Stillwater.
